SCS Consulting Group was retained by Empire Communities and managed the civil engineering component of this multi-disciplinary design team responsible for planning and implementing a mixed use commercial and residential two tower condominium including 21 and 19 storey towers joined by a 5 storey podium for a total unit count of 532 units. The project also includes approximately 931 square meters of retail space and a five level underground parking facility. The site is located on Kerr Street at Spears Road within the Town of Oakville.
Highlights of the project include:
- Determined suitable methods to provide water, sanitary and storm sewer service to the development using existing infrastructure within the surrounding existing rights-of-way.
- Enhanced level quality protection as per the Ministry of Environment Guidelines by the use of an on-site oil grit separator.
- Post-development flows not to exceed pre-development flows as per the Town of Oakville criteria.
